Job Description

We're looking for someone to help lead our product testing, assist with improving our deployment processes by increasing our speed and efficiency. You will be responsible for defining the overall test strategy and design for testing and deploying large scale and complex products. This position provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with product teams across all of TiVo.Here is what you'll get to do:

• Assess our current processes and test coverage, validate proper test coverage and design improvements as needed
• Help drive the company-wide functional test strategy; covering both improvements and maintenance of existing test methodology
• Design and implement new test approaches
• Initiate and assist development in defining new automated testing as needed
• Advocate bottom-up testing strategy and consult with development regarding enhancing unit and component tests

What you'll need to be successful:

• Science or Engineering Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 5 years experience in relevant software/hardware quality assurance architect level role
• In-depth comprehension of QA engineering methodologies and practices
• At least 5 years of test design experience creating solutions for more complex features
• Ability to learn new technical information quickly
• Ability to communicate clearly, in both formal written reports and informal verbal and written communications.
• Can facilitate discussions of QA technical issues, bringing in other functions (program managers, customer support, etc.) as necessary
• Self motivated; self starter
• Familiarity and experience with sophisticated audio/video consumer electronics devices
• Knowledge of the consumer electronics release cycle

What will really make you stand out:

• Knowledge of broadcast digital video or head-end equipment
• Prior experience testing Set-Top-Boxes, Digital Video Recorders (DVR’s), and conditional access technology.
